Lonesome Republic is on a short break from shows while Mr. Bronson recovers from carpal tunnel release surgery. Though the new recordings are being worked on in the meantime. All that remains to be tracked is vocals for seven out of the eleven songs recorded. Mixing and mastering will happen shortly thereafter, then we'll hammer out the details of our first release. More detais on that when the time comes. 'Til then, stay lonesome.

I've uploaded some videos to YouTube. Many thanks to Chadwick Asselin for shooting video of us at TT the Bear's back in January. You can check a few of them out in the multimedia section.

We're playing the Spiral Collective event @ 119 Gallery in Lowell this Saturday (4/17). You should definitely come to it. Fuck your other plans. I've also just updated the shows page with a few more for the coming months.

It's been a good long while since the last update, so one is probably due. We've played a couple more shows in recent months, and have a few in the works. We'll also begin recording for our first release on the first weekend in May. We hope to have a physical release ready by sometime in the Summer, but no promises.
In addition to Lonesome Republic, all of us are involved in various other artistic endeavors which you probably want to invest yourself in. Donovan Bilgewater has songs posted on the social networking website called MySpace, you can access it right here. Reginald Crabapple has a similar setup on that very same website, listen to songs here. LR members are also associated with a musical group entitled Bar Sinister, which seems to be the product of a love for heavy music and craft beer with high alcohol content. Still other members are more known for being riff fiends in the heavy, heavy band Now Denial. Though people seem to recite the phrase "Fuck Now Denial" fairly often, so they're either hated or loved in a strange way. It takes all kinds I guess.

Welcome to the Republic. I mean, the website of Lonesome Republic. We also have a MySpace page and a Facebook page, but we like whiskey more than social networking. So bring us whiskey... or be our "friend" on the internet. Either way is fine.
We recently played our first show. It was at the 119 Gallery in Lowell, as a part of A Very Spiral Krampus Party, which was the second event put on by Spiral Collective. It was a good time. We'll soon be playing our second show, this time at TT the Bear's in Cambridge, MA. Check out the shows section for info on that. We'll be recording soon, and have some tangible music for you to listen to soon after. Anyway, check back often for updates, as we have a lot planned for this year. Get lonesome with us.
